Although there are many causes of vertigo usually the result of an infection of the inner ear. This does not respond to antibiotics, but will take its course.

Patients with viral vestibular neuritis, severe vertigo usually suffer from one or two days, followed by a gradual decrease in symptoms and a return to equilibrium. Although the acute illness seldom lasts longer than a few days to several weeks, the last residual imbalance and dizziness nonspecific May for the months

Untreated infections can lead to other things. Your doctor should have prescribed a certain type of antibiotics to clear it. My cousin had an ear infection and sent them away without antibiotics, and burst an eardrum and had surgery on his ear. We do not all hearing back in the ear. The only thing that is necessary to clarify a possible infection antibiotics.

If the viral infection, antibiotics, and then have no effect. His body, like an infection of the flu or development of antibodies that kill the virus or die.
